Sign in using backup codes

If you lose your device containing the Authenticator app, you can use backup codes to sign in. After you use a backup code to sign in, it becomes inactive. You can generate a new set of 10 codes whenever you want. After creating a new set, the old set automatically becomes inactive.

Once you enable Multi-Factor Authentication on your account, a set of 10 backup codes will be automatically generated.

How to generate new sets of backup codes.

  1. Click Profile in the left navigation of your screen. 
  2. Select Authentication.
  3. Under Time-based OTP, click Backup Codes.
  4. A pop box will appear showing you the existing set of backup codes and the usage.
  5. Click Get New Codes to generate a new set of backup codes.
  6. Click Download to download the text file containing the codes.

How to login using backup codes.

  1. Enter your login credentials at the sign in page.
  2. You will be prompted to enter the OTP generated by the Authenticator app. If you do not have app, click Switch to Backup code.
  3. Enter the backup code which hasn't been used to access your account.
